Brought to you by the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons. In this video, the authors demonstrate minimally invasive harvesting of fascia lata for use in autologous fascia mid-urethral sling. A Crawford fascial stripper is used to harvest the graft, which is prepared with monofilament sutures on each end to create a “sling on a string.” Retropubic passage is accomplished with reusable trocars using the same familiar technique as with a mesh retropubic sling. It is tied above the rectus fascia in the midline via a suprapubic incision for “loose” tensioning.
