Author and Disclosure Information
Brought to you by the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons. In this video, the authors demonstrate tips and tricks for removing the entirety of transobturator sling mesh. As groin dissection is often inadequate to localize mesh, they identify the mesh transvaginally and use a vessel loop to delineate the mesh borders. They then divide the mesh in the midline, tag the medial edges with sutures, grasp these sutures with a clamp passed through the lateral groin dissection, and completely remove the mesh through the groin incision using the clamp.
