Specialized Mental Health Centers of Excellence (MH CoEs) are an essential component of VA's response to meeting the mental health needs of veterans. Mental health conditions commonly experienced by veterans include depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, and substance use disorders.
