DEVELOPING STORY: Abbott Agrees to Pull Obesity Drug Meridia Off the Market

The Food and Drug Administration announced today that Meridia (sibutramine), a drug used for treating obesity, will be voluntarily removed from the U.S. market by its maker, Abbott Laboratories.
