Anthelios Sun Protection

La Roche-Posay Laboratoire Dermatologique introduced 3 products to the Anthelios line. The Anthelios 50 Daily Anti-Aging Primer With Sunscreen is formulated with Cell-OX Shield and without volatile silicones to combine UVA/UVB protection and antioxidants to correct signs of aging and provide daily prevention of skin aging. An instant blurring effect corrects lines, pores, and other skin imperfections with a blend of light-reflecting microparticles. Aerogel technology creates a sweat resistant, smooth, matte canvas on the skin for even makeup application with a prolonged hold. It is oil free, fragrance free, paraben free, and has been tested on sensitive skin.

Anthelios 50 Mineral Tinted Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid combines a UVA/UVB all mineral sun filter with tint technology containing sun protection factor 50 for outdoor use. This tinted sunblock protects while providing sheer coverage for most skin tones for a more even complexion. The mineral protection system features a 4-step approach. First, UV light is scattered by spheres within the formula before it hits the skin providing a boost in UV protection. Then, an optimized blend of 2 different sizes of the titanium dioxide (TiO2) mineral block provide efficacy against UVA/UVB rays. Third, the aggregation of TiO2 particles is minimized to help provide even coverage. Finally, solid particles are easily resuspended. The result is an ultralight nonwhitening formula with broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection. It is water resistant up to 40 minutes, noncomedogenic, paraben free, fragrance free, and allergy tested.

Anthelios Ultra Light Sunscreen Lotion Spray is now available in a 360° spray to deliver controlled application with a visible lotion for better compliance. With Cell-OX Shield antioxidant technology, the alcohol-free lotion provides protection from the sun. It contains no parabens, fragrance, or isobutene. It is water resistant for up to 80 minutes for protection during heavy outdoor activity. Sun protection factors 30 and 60 protect against UVA/UVB rays. Fighting Nail Fungus With the HarmonyXL System

Alma Lasers, Ltd, announced US Food and Drug Administration clearance of the HarmonyXL System to treat onychomycosis. The Q-switched 1064-nm Nd:YAG laser with its potassium-titanyl-phosphate 532-nm tip creates microcavitations and acoustic shock waves on the surface of the nail plate, which then get transmitted to the nail bed, causing mechanical damage in the irradiated fungal colony. The long-pulsed Nd:YAG 1064-nm laser module causes nonspecific heat conduction on the entire nail, thermally deactivating the unwanted microorganism. The system is versatile and easy to move from room to room. For more information, visit www.almalasers.com.

Hexylresorcinol decelerates overactive melanin production, which results in rapid depigmentation and improved skin health. One to 2 pumps of the Serum can be applied to a cleansed face at morning and at night to diminish the appearance of dark spots and sun spots and improve skin brightness, clarity, and tone. After moisturizing, the Spot Repair should be used in the morning and night to target dark spots and sun spots for a brighter, more uniform skin tone.
