ABSTRACTThyrotoxicosis is associated with increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, primarily due to heart failure and thromboembolism. However, its signs and symptoms may be subtle and can easily be missed. Therefore, one should suspect thyrotoxicosis in patients with palpitations, exercise intolerance, dyspnea on exertion, and other cardiovascular signs.
