Dr. Battista is a neuropsychologist at the VA Central California Health Care System, Fresno. Although not as extensively studied or widely used as the Mini Mental State Examination, Cognistat may be a more sensitive tool for cognitive evaluation in elders. These investigators propose Cognistat subscale cutoff scores for differentiating DAT from other types of cognitive impairment in veterans.
