Movement toward multisubspecialty group practices prompted these investigators to develop a staffing model, based on employee work-time allocation, to guide new group practices or those looking to add to their current practice.
Many competing models of health care delivery are emerging in the new millennium. One model that is gaining popularity is the multisubspecialty group practice because it is an effective way to deliver efficient, high-quality care.1-4 The synergies provided by such groups are especially important in times of scarce resources.
