Previous studies have looked at the effectiveness of using continuous blood glucose monitoring (CGM) systems in patients with diabetes for three, five, and seven days. But can such a system be used for 10 days—and still be accurate, safe, and practical? Researchers from the University of Colorado, Denver conducted the first reported study on using a seven-day CGM system (SEVEN, DexCom Inc, San Diego, CA) for 10 days.
